Work At Home Doing Data Entry

If you are interested in learning more about Data Entry then chances are you've seen many online classified posting, You Tube videos, or forum posts about online data entry. They promise to save you time, gas money and will keep you close to home. Are they legit?
Well...

Yes and No. Yes, there are some legit programs that will allow you to work from home doing data entry or administration work. But most online opportunities pays below minimum wage, the work may not be steady and there is alot of pressure to meet narrow deadlines.
The scams will promise you thousands of dollars, will flash huge mansions and fancy cars, accept anybody that applies, and will list very well established companies they are affiliated with like Dell, Google, Verizon....etc. These guy are looking for people JUST LIKE YOU. AAAAANNNNNDDDD....

They want your money. They want you to pay to get a job. LOL.
Ok, let be serious for a second. Do you REALLY want to work at home at a steady paying position doing some type of admin work? What are your best options? The best paying jobs are positions where you work in a regular work place environment and then opt for an "at home positions".

There are several well established companies that are offering this type of program because it saves them money. Many of these "at home positions" pay employees the same as they would if the employees had to commute to work every day. In these instances, even employees save money from not having to travel to work.

The best place I would recommend finding these opportunities would be your local classifieds. News papers, magazines, and online sites like Workopolis or Monster. You can also try asking friends and family. There are recruitment programs for current employees who refer friends and family to work for their company, so there is alot of incentives for friends, family and even strangers to help you out. Then, try signing up for freelance job programs like The On Demand Global Workforce - oDesk ,or Bid for freelance work! at Elance.

One legit program would be Keysforcash. Depending on how fast you type you can generate a very very very modest income from signing up for this free program. This program is definitely something that should be considered a "spare-time" income generator rather than a full blown part-time job opportunity. But I've read several trust worthy reviews from people who have joined and have been paid for their work. Unfortunately, you have to be a US resident to apply. :( sorry to all my fellow Canadian followers. But who knows? Maybe try contacting them to recommend that they have some type of program offer for Canadians. If enough people make that recommendation, they may consider expanding their program.

Another telecommute opportunity I've found was LiveOps. I'm not familiar with this company but I've seen people recommend this program. They do require that applicants pay a one time fee for their own background check (around $30). I'm still have the opinion that one shouldn't have to pay for the opportunity to work but this maybe one of the very few exceptions. I really don't know what to think about it. $30 isn't alot of money but just out of the principal, I don't want to pay for something only to discover that it's a scam. For the sake of this blog, I wouldn't mind trying this program but I already have a pretty good regular job. If anyone does sign up and try out this program, let me know or leave a comment about your experiences.

Try DionData Solutions a "Data Management Service Bureau". They provide free training and support. You must be able to type at least 60wpm with accuracy. There are many other qualifications and requirements which you should review before applying. If you try this program out, let me know about your experiences.

Finally, take a look at Axion Data Services. Its another data entry and form processing service. They have about 15 000 data entry operators across America and they provide services to banks, universities, school districts, insurance companies, marketing firms... etc. I'm still looking for people to provide some feedback on this company. If you sign up and get a telecommute position through this company, let me know what you think.

More Trivia Fun!

I've another cute site for you.

Come up with great multiple choice questions and earn money!! It's quite an interesting program. This program may be little childish in some respects but fun at the same time.
It's very engaging compared to many other PTC programs. PTCs are pretty much mindless work that pays practically nothing. You may find more change in between your couch cushions then you would be make clicking on ads. But here is a good way to make some change but in a cool new way. For the most part, it's not really my cup of tea but I know there are a lot of kids, teens and adults who are young at heart, who would enjoy such a program specifically for what it is.

Are you going to get rich? Nope. It's a fun site, so the whole point is to go and enjoy yourself. I hardly doubt this program will last long, but we shall see....

It's free to join. Free to participate. There are no upgrade features. No referral programs. So you pretty much play along and earn.

Please, if you are going to participate. Try to avoid posting silly questions like “how many seconds in 1 minute", or post a picture of a ball then ask, "what kind of ball is this?" It gets old pretty fast and you are not likely to make a lot of money with silly stuff like that. Try to be creative; put a little thought into your questions.

Most important of all... HAVE FUN!!!

MLM: Try it or Avoid it?

Multi-Level Marketing has gotten a bad rap over the years because it has been linked to many scams and ponzi schemes but it's still a legitimate and honest way to generate income with a part-time effort.

A MLM Program is set up when you decide to become an affiliate and sell products and services on behalf of a company. What you usually get in return, is a small commission for your efforts. Boo hoo hoo :(. You probably wouldn't want to quit your day job too soon on what the average MLM Affiliate makes on their own level. But where the real money is made is through work you convince others to do for you. As a MLM affiliate, you also have the benefit of being able to refer other people to your great money making opportunity. They start to sell the same products and services and you collect a small commission for their work. The more people you sign up under you, the more money you make. Also, there are many programs that allow you to receive commission from the sales generated by people your original referrals refer. Many Programs will pay 5, 10 or even an infinite number of levels deep.

There have been people who became millionaires from this type of marketing but it’s more likely that these people were lucky enough to got into the business early in the game or they've spent several dedicated years building their downline.

Some Tips

The First step is to find a company that offers products and services you already love and use. It's very difficult to convince someone else to purchase a product that you know little about or don't even use yourself. You will generate most sales from repeat customers; and repeat customers may be your best leads to new customers. Unhappy customers are very likely to tell 7-10 people about a bad experience compared to happy customers, who are only likely to tell between 3-5 people about a good experience. This means that a person selling crap is promoting a company that will eventually fail and failing companies tend to take down failing affiliates with them. If you want to succeed, you want to put your name behind a company that is serious about what they are selling and serious about making sure you succeed.

The next step is to find a way to Market Yourself . Forget about marketing the product for now. The best place to start is with family and friends. These people are the most likely to support you and even help promote you for free. Get business cards, find opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. It’s easier to hand out a business card to a friend then it is to hand them out to someone you met 20 minutes earlier. Also, Business cards are expensive. You really don't want to be handing them out to people who are likely to just chuck the card out the moment you are out of sight. Make use of Social Networking Sites, Instant Messenger sites, Chatting Rooms, Twitter as a way to meet new friends who may potentially become business leads. Try creating a blog of your own.

Shhh, Top Secret!

Ok, I've found another great work at home opportunity that pays. Do you think you are smart enough to take a trivia test? Know anything about geography, math, reading, science, movies and music? How good are your "Googling" skill?... if you want to know why I have to ask then read on and take the TEST.

You can try your luck at applying for the kgb. YES, you read me right. Apply for the Special Agent position with the kgb. The Knowledge Generation Bureau(or kgb without any capital letter) is looking for people to participate in their Work @ Home Recruitment Center.

It's free to join but you do have to take a pretty killer test and pass to qualify. Its shift work and you need to work a minimum of 6 hours a week. It’s a great opportunity for people looking to make a little extra in a program that actually pays you for the work that you do. You get paid about 0.10cents for every full response and 0.05cents for each validation responses. It's not a lot but it’s a steady part-time gig you can do at home in your spare-time. What more can you ask for? This is the type of program that is best suited for young people. You need to be at least 18 years old to join. IMO, kids from 14-25 would have a lot of fun with this job. You can earn between $3-$6/h if you are able to answer 1 question a minute. For a Trivia Wiz, this would be a piece of cake. I took the test and passed, YAY FOR ME!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't read about the qualifications that you MUST meet in order to participate in the program. 1) you must have a U.S.A SSN and a U.S. bank account. They accept people who reside in Canada but you must be able to work legally in the U.S. lol. If anyone knows of a similar program in Canada or a program that takes international people, let me know. It sucks. I was sooooo... excited cause it seems to be a very legit program that actually offers something promising. Anyways, even if you are not a U.S. citizen you can still take the test to see what you are made of.

Be a Special Agent for the kgb!!!

Get Paid to Socialize?

Well...

It's true. There are plenty of opportunities online!!! Have a lot of friends and family? Do you want a place to share videos, photos, your opinions? Then you probably already know about sites like FaceBook, MySpace, Yahoo Messenger, and YouTube...

Have you ever thought about how much ad revenue these websites bring in? There are reports that MySpace earned $495 million in 2008 with 70 million viewers and users. In 2008, YouTube brought in 200 million in revenue for themselves. Now that is some serious change these companies are earning just because you decided to do all of your socializing with them.

So, what if there was a company that shared some of its revenue with you? Sounds like a good deal, considering the fact that you are the one doing all of the work requires to bring in all that money! Without you there is no YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook... So, it is refreshing to see a company that is willing to give its users a little something back for their efforts.

Check Out This Website

*Its free to join
*Meet lots of great people
*Find great leads and potential customers for a growing new business
*Have a blast
* GET PAID TO DO ALL THESE THINGS AND MORE!!!
*And did I mention that it’s ALL free!

You get paid to check out the pages of other users. You get paid for views on your own page and you get paid for all the activity of your friend you get to sign up. Getting friends to join is so easy because it’s FREE to join. Take a look at the chart on the left. I'm sure you can find at least 3 friends to sign up for free. I'm sure those friends can come up with 3 friend of their own to sign up for free. I'm sure your friends and your friend's friends can come up with interesting blogs, vlogs, video content, and pictures to share with the whole community.

Over time, with some patients and a bit of work, it’s possible to generate quite a decent income from your personal page and, remember, you didn't have to pay a dime for any of this!!!!

Money Making Opportunity in Affiliate Work!!!

One great way to generate a passive income is to be an affiliate.

What is an affiliate, you ask?

Most affiliate programs pay you a commission for the sales you make for products and services you promote. The more people you convince to shop, the more money you make. If you own a website or blog, you should try affiliate programs. These programs are an amazing way to turn a high traffic website into a money making opportunity. You can also get free promotional tools such as referral links and banners that you can apply as advertisements on your website. These links and banners will help snag the attention of your website visitors and these people may shop till they drop at the websites and companies you promote . Now that could be a huge chunk of change in your pocket and you did nothing more than copy and paste an HTML code ;).

Don't have a website?

Don't worry about it. You don't have to have a website to benefit from an affiliate program.
Take, for instance, companies like Avon and Marry Kay. You sign up to become an affiliate. You get some girlfriends together. You all then sample and recommend products. Hopefully your friends will purchase some products and you make a decent commission for simply getting the girls together for some tea and a little chit chat. Your girlfriends will get quality products and Avon and Mary Kay generate sales. It really that simple and everyone goes home happy!
The most powerful form of advertising is through word of mouth because it’s the cheapest and it’s the most honest. Happy customers tell their friend and family about great products. Friend and family trust the positive reviews of happy customers. Happy customers are also returning customers.

Affiliate work can be fun and rewarding. There are programs that even offer affiliates a discount on products and services. So it’s also a great opportunity to get big saving for products and services you already love using yourself.

One tip, I would recommend to anyone looking into affiliate work, would be to stick with products and services that you know, use, trust, and actually like. The hardest thing to do is to sell crap to someone you care about. Don't focus on how much commission you will get or how much money you will make. Instead, focus on programs that fit into the particular topics or niches that interests you the most.

Here is a resource directory that has several affiliate programs to choose from. Check it out!!
